NEW ADULTS

We are the new adults.

No longer are we going to tell children that they are to be seen and not heard. Quite the opposite. The fire in the souls of the young people will forever outshine the flames of the dying and decrepit. This isn't an insult to the elderly, either, do not be obtuse. This is for the new adults who haven't quite realized that it is okay to navigate away from what traditions have taught you. That voice in the back of your head that helps you doubt yourself because you were once young and vulnerable while no one listened. This is not a pity party. This is liberation. The type of liberation where you actually get to decide what is best for you. The type of liberation where anything oppressive no longer has the final say. Where the normalcy of manufactured consent is no longer viewed as binding or valid. SCarY huH This is a good thing. It should challenge you to look inward and possibly view that nervousness as excitement. What a time to be alive to see such change. To see people coming together and defending one another for the right to their sovereignty. To understand that their indoctrination, by definition, is not true belief. & I love that for them.

Choose better. Be the goddamn example. We are the new adults. Look up to yourself. <3
